April School Holiday Program
The April School holidays are fast approaching and there’s plenty to do to keep busy at the library:
Commissioners Digital Challenge @ Freeling Library:
Monday April 15th
Take your first steps towards completing the CDC by taking part in one of our sessions at the Freeling Library. To complete the challenge children need to complete 4 separate digital sessions. We will offer another 2 challenges in the next school holidays.
Wilbur’s Wildlife:
Tuesday April 16th
Freeling Library: 10:30am – 11:30am
Rescheduled from the summer holidays, book in and join us as we welcome Wilbur’s Wildlife and an array of native animals for a 1 hour hands on presentation.
Stardome Space Colonies at The Hewett Centre:
Tuesday April 23rd
The Hewett Centre: 10:30am – 12pm
Presented by Sci-World this 90 minute workshop includes 45 minutes in the Stardome learning about the stars followed by a 45 minute space colony building session.
GooRoo Claymation Workshop @ The Hewett Centre
Wednesday April 24th
The Hewett Centre: 9:30am – 12:30pm
A 3 hour Claymation workshop by GooRoo Animation. You’ll design your own characters, film your own movie and watch your masterpiece back on the big screen!
For Children 8 and up and children 5-7 with an adult helper.
Science Spectacular show @ The Wasleys Supper Hall
Friday April 26th
Walseys Supper Hall: 10:30am – 11:30am
There will be explosions, experiments, rockets and more in this fun and educational Spectacular Science show from Sci-World. Aimed at children 5 and up.
There will also be the usual Mum’s/Dad’s and Bubs session for parents and young children along with Library borrowing and a craft activity for all ages.
