Author Spotlight: Fiona McIntosh
Fiona McIntosh is one of Australia’s most prolific and favourite storytellers selling worldwide in a variety of languages across several genres, but it is her historical romantic adventures that are capturing the imagination of the huge general fiction audience. Her books are regularly shortlisted for the Best General Fiction category in the Australian Book Industry Awards.
Fiona is married with twin sons. She lives in the Mid-North of South Australia but roams the world to research her stories. Her latest release is called The Pearl Thief and is set in Prague, London, Paris and York.
Fiona hosts a series of highly regarded masterclasses and many of her students are now happily embedded with major publishers and enjoying terrific success. Her book How to Write Your Blockbuster continues to help aspiring writers tackle the big journey of the novel.
When she’s not writing, reading or guiding other writers Fiona bakes and happily considers eating fine chocolate and drinking only excellent coffee as her hobbies.
Fiona’s books are available from all three of our library branches.
