King of the Outback
From Tuesday 1 September 2020, a new trail will be on display for you to enjoy at The Pines. ‘King Of The Outback’ is written by Kristin Weidenbach and illustrated by Timothy Ide. Follow the story trail signs and discover the story of Sir Sidney Kidman as you’re led on an adventure around the reserve. The ‘King of the Outback’ story trail will be on display at The Pines until Friday 25 September.
Can’t travel out to The Pines at Kapunda? Not to worry, because the story trail will be making an appearance at the Hewett Playground Walking Trail from Monday 28 September – so if you can’t make it to Kapunda, you can head over to Hewett to enjoy Kristin’s story of Sir Sidney Kidman there.
A walk in the bush
‘A Walk in the Bush’, written and illustrated by Gywn Perkins will be on display at the Hewett Playground Walking Trail from Tuesday 1 September through to Friday 25 September. Awarded the 2018 Picture Book of the Year by the Children’s Book Council of Australia, this story will help you discover the wonders of nature, the funny side of life and spending time with the ones you love.
This story trail will be moving out to The Pines Reserve at Kapunda from Monday 28 September 2020.
We’re going on a bear hunt
The 30th Anniversary Edition of the classic story ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ – retold by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury, will fill you with excitement as you swish through the grass, splash through the river and squelch through the mud in search of a bear!
Come and join the adventure at the Freeling Wetlands from Tuesday 1 September 2020.
